Mainly coiled springs were manufactured by 10 people. New customers within the automotive were tied to STECE, and in 1960 an expansion within stamping of sheet metal parts with construction of a new workshop took place. In 1971 the company was sold to Associated Spring Corporation (ASC), USA.
The company then employed 370 people, but mid 70th the oil crisis and followed by down turn within automotive drastically reduced that number. In 1982 again STECE got new owners through a management buy out.
In the mid 80th again business flourish and new investments were made expanding the companies capacities in both coiled spring an stamped sheet metal parts.
New short downturn in the beginning of the 90th was soon followed by better years. In 2006 Be-Ge Företagen bought part of STECE and from 2008 STECE is 100% owned by Be-Ge Group.
Be-Ge Stece AB is today an subcontractor in stamping, welding, surface treatment and assembly of sheet metal parts to OEM customers all over Europe.The business is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16 949, ISO 14000 and is also Q1 awarded supplier by Ford.
The turnover in 2009 was 74 million SEK.
